Open Studios.
Spring Open Studios at Hunters Point Shipyard http://www.shipyardartists.com/
Maeve Croghan:"My subjects are carefully chosen to convey the certain emotions. The painting are composed to lead the viewer deeply into the painting, so they directly experience Nature."

“As soon as I started renting space out at Hunters Point Shipyard more than three years ago, I got a new sense of dedication to my lifelong pursuit creating artwork. Working at the shipyard, the “boondocks,” in an old run down Navy classroom, and having shipyard artist community surrounding me, I felt more connected to that artistic part of me than I had in many years. After working for several months in my studio, I knew I would have to give up my job and use my time for painting and photography. The visual elements at the old, crumbling Navy shipyard have had a major effect on my work.
I finally have time for creating digital images and digital collages along with my long-standing pursuit of painting and collage. And so I continue exploring artwork at the shipyard and beyond.”
