事情是這樣的，2010年1月7號，國務卿希拉里‧克林頓(Hillary Clinton)在國務院請吃飯。這是一場小規模的晚宴，規模雖小，來客卻都是通訊科技界的重量級人物。客人名單上有谷歌首席執行官埃里克‧施密特(Eric Schmidt)、Twitter聯合創始人杰克‧多爾西(Jack Dorsey)、微軟首席研究與戰略官克瑞格‧蒙迪(Craig Mundie)，以及Mobile Accord CEO James Eberhard, Cisco CMO Susan Bostron, NYU Professor Clay Shirky, Personal Democracy founder Andrew Rasiej等。
